Ineeka teas

a new take on the tea bag
Ineeka teas have come out with a revolutionary new design for their tea bags. They are not loose per say they come in pouches but the pouches have small cardboard arms on either side, you place these on the sides of the cup so it sits in the cup. By setting the arms on the cup, you tare open the bag thus making the tea loose. The bag acts more like a sieve then anything else, I like this idea it gives you the loose tea experience without having to remember your tea ball or have an infuser. Its 9.99 for a pack of 14, which is a bit pricey, and you can find it at whole foods; I am not sure where I can find it being in Manitoba.
D.I.Y Latte
Chocolate ecstasy Matcha
This is the first matcha I’ve had its by Domo which makes a fusion matchas like latte powder and it says its organic. Using organic matcha and cane sugar (better then corn syrup or some soy based shit). The ingredient; skim milk powder, evaporated cane juice, matcha green tea powder, and natural food flavour (not sure what there saying here).
I tried this by making a little latte, which went something like this.
• Fill coffee cup with milk with some room at the top
• Microwave for 1-2 minutes
• Add 1-2 tbsp of matcha powder and stir until dissolved
• Steam with your espresso machines frothier
• Drink it up
100g tin of this stuff is about $11.00
Brazilian Green
Brazilian green
This one has a light grassy taste with a kind of earl grey taste on the end of it, this is a mate factor tea, which specializes in Yerba Mate, and it is advertised as “Energizing! Burns calories! 24 vitamins & minerals! 7 times more anti-oxidants than green tea!” So this has to be good for you. Its an organic tea and it is also fair trade the company talks about a tribal way of life you know more intoned with nature and stuff I’ll make a better post about the company soon. The bag comes with instructions on preparation along with a coffee machine method that I was surprised about.

Manitoba Rooibos: review
i picked up a package of Manitoba Rooibos from a local tea shop and I’ve found it a very nice fruity tea. it is a nice and light not to over whelming you can taste the berries on the back of the tongue which is rose hip, raisins, black currents, blueberries. and you also have a deeper rustic taste which reminds me of potpourri and this is the lavender, rose petals, and Labrador leaves. all the ingredients are locally sourced too, and that’s always a plus. I’ve given a link for ordering the tea (above) it goes for $12.00 per 100 grams
